Bush: DC Press Conference Kicks Off Hundreds Of Protests at Gas Stations Nationwide When: Tuesday February 4, 2003, 10:00AM Press Conference, to be followed by a demonstration at Noon at the American Petroleum Institute Who: Speakers confirmed to date: Where: Press Conference: The National Press Club, Murrow Room Demonstration: American Petroleum Institute 1220 L St., NW Washington DC What: The press conference will take place in conjunction with more than 100 protests at gas stations across the US and UK during first ever international Day of Action for Peace focused solely on oil. Speakers will provide a background briefing on how, instead of driving the nation to war, the Bush Administration must shift its resources to developing a sane national energy policy that does not depend on oil. The local Washington, DC demonstration will take place at the American Petroleum Institute.
